Femicide is one of the most severe manifestations of violence against women and requires coordinated prevention and protection responses. This study aimed to analyze the evolution of femicide records in the State of Pará and the preventive strategies adopted by the state's public security institutions. A documentary study with a qualitative and descriptive approach was conducted, complemented by bibliographic research and content analysis of the selected sources. The results revealed fluctuations in femicide records, with a significant decrease in 2022, lower indicators maintained until 2024, and an increase in 2025. Strategies such as the Maria da Penha Patrol, the Pró-Mulher Pará Program, specialized police services, reporting channels, and technological resources were identified. Cross-analysis showed a temporal coincidence between the expansion of preventive actions and periods of declining femicide records, although the subsequent increase prevents the establishment of a direct causal relationship. It is concluded that the protection structure in Pará has expanded, but persistent fluctuations require continued actions and monitoring of indicators.
