This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of dengue cases registered in the municipality of Cascavel, Paraná, between 2020 and 2025. This is a descriptive, retrospective, epidemiological study conducted with data obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), made available by DATASUS. The variables analyzed were: monthly distribution of notified cases, diagnostic criteria, sex, age group, and race. During this interval, 49,094 cases were observed, showing a cyclical pattern with an epidemic peak in 2024. The results indicate a higher incidence among females (55.08%) and adults aged 20 to 59 years (64.46%), in addition to a marked seasonality with a higher incidence between March and April. Additionally, it was found that the healthcare network adapts its diagnostic criteria according to the intensity of the outbreak, prioritizing the clinical-epidemiological criterion during epidemic periods and the laboratory criterion during phases of low viral circulation.
