Abstract

This study presents an excerpt from a professional master's research focused on the development of an educational product in a videocast format, titled #PapoRetoIST, which aims to provide theoretical and practical support on sex education for basic education professionals working in Middle School. It is characterized as an applied and exploratory research with a qualitative approach, divided into two main phases: a demand diagnosis and the technical materialization of the audiovisual resource. In the initial phase, a questionnaire was administered via Google Forms to 102 education professionals (teachers, managers, secretaries, and technicians), revealing that over 80% of the participants recognize the pedagogical potential of the videocast. Based on these data and a literature review, the material was structured into five stages (pre-production, production, post-production, publication, and dissemination), resulting in four episodes focused on health literacy, prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and referral flows to the public healthcare network. The results indicate that over 82% of the educators consider the videocast an effective strategy to engage students and reduce resistance to the topic. It is concluded that the educational product, currently open-access on YouTube, establishes itself as a tool for social protection and citizenship, strengthening the school as a safe space for support and information.
