Wage disparity between men and women qualifies as a specific form of structural inequality. It appears not only in large metropolises, but also in regions of low population density such as the inland municipalities of the state of Amazonas. Seeking to understand the phenomenon and the environment in which it manifests, this research is aimed at analyzing the formal remuneration of women compared to that of men in three municipalities in the Brazil-Peru-Colombia triple border area, namely Tabatinga, Atalaia do Norte, and Benjamin Constant, between 2014 and 2024. A qualitative-quantitative, exploratory, bibliographic and documentary methodology was adopted, using secondary data extracted from the Indicators Panel of the Labor Observatory Network. It was found that the three municipalities present differences in the formal remuneration between men and women; however, the results indicated that, although wage inequality persists, there is a growing trend towards equity, showing a gradual and continuous transition process over the years.
