Access to credit is one of the main factors for the sustainability, growth, and competitiveness of small businesses. In Brazil, women entrepreneurs play an important role in economic and social development; however, they face significant obstacles in obtaining financial resources. This study aims to analyze the main challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in accessing credit, identifying structural, social, and economic factors that influence this process. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach based on a literature review and secondary data analysis from institutions such as Sebrae, the Central Bank of Brazil, IBGE, and UN Women. The findings indicate that gender inequality, lack of collateral, business informality, limited financial education, and the burden of double work shifts are important barriers to obtaining credit. Furthermore, initiatives such as guarantee funds, training programs, and targeted credit lines have contributed to reducing these difficulties, although they remain insufficient to ensure full equity. The study concludes that strengthening female entrepreneurship requires integrated public policies and more inclusive financial practices.
