Abstract

Inclusive education can be more than just recognizing differences, it can be a multiplying process of knowledge construction to form citizens who can interact and participate in a fair and democratic society. This study is problematic to question these themes that involve inclusion, especially in relation to the teacher and their challenges. It is equally important to highlight that traditional and fragmented curricula do not develop inclusion and make the learning process of students with special educational needs even more difficult, as standardized curricula do not provide the development of skills and student independence, do not provide opportunities for thinking in different contexts , thus creating labels and the exclusion of the student in the school environment, such as reporting on the practice of curricular adaptation to remove barriers to the learning of students with special educational needs, from the perspective of inclusive education. Through a survey bibliographical, with academic articles published on the subject, a historical retrospective of the national education system was outlined, regarding the advances and challenges of an education for all.
