THE PEDAGOGICAL DIMENSION OF THE EDUCATOR IN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN THE FACE OF TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE WORLD OF WORK

Abstract

This article analyzes the pedagogical dimension of the educator in Professional and Technological Education in the face of transformations in the world of work, considering new market demands, technological innovation and the integral education of students. It starts from the understanding that the Professional and Technological Education teacher does not act only in the transmission of technical content, since their practice involves critical mediation, articulation between theory and practice, interpretation of productive changes and commitment to human development. The research, bibliographic in nature, is based on authors who discuss work as an educational principle, integrated curriculum, teacher education, active methodologies, digital technologies and lifelong learning. The study shows that pedagogical adaptation in Professional and Technological Education requires contextualized planning, continuous professional updating, integration between technical and pedagogical knowledge, critical use of technologies and appreciation of the ethical, social and civic dimensions of education. It concludes that the Professional and Technological Education educator needs to build practices capable of preparing students to participate in the world of work without reducing professional education to the immediate logic of employability, preserving integral education as the guiding axis of the educational process.
