ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION: A STRATEGIC DIAGNOSIS OF THE UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO VALE DO SÃO FRANCISCO

This study presents a strategic diagnosis of initiatives related to entrepreneurshipment and innovation at Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco - Univasf. It deals with an is exploratory research in its nature and it adopts case as a methodological approach. Four main dimensions were examinated: curricular offers related to entrepreneurial education, extracurricular imparts for pushing innovation, intellectual property indicators, and university entrepreneurshipment endeavours, including incubated startups and junior enterprises. Data collection occurred through documentation analysis of institutional sources and information provided by the Technological Innovation Center (NIT), considering the range from 2020 to 2025. The results indicate progress in the institutionalization of innovation promotion initiatives, as evidenced by the expansion of courses focused on the topic, the implementation of calls for proposals and events, and the growth in the number of intellectual property assets. Nevertheless, challenges remain regarding the effectiveness of technology transfer and the expansion of partnerships with industry.
