ATUAÇÃO DA FISIOTERAPIA EM REABILITAÇÃO RESPIRATÓRIA EM PACIENTES COM LESÃO MEDULAR: REVISÃO BIBLIOGRÁFICA

Abstract

Given the complexity of spinal cord injury in short, resulting from traumatic situations and its major fatal results such as impaired mobility, physical dependence and even death, this type of injury represents a major public health problem due to accidents of various kinds and assaults. Therefore, it is of great importance to approach this issue in the health sphere, mainly because it aims to train professionals who work directly in the treatment and rehabilitation of these patients. Therefore, through an integrative literature review, we sought to analyze the importance of the role of the physiotherapist in cases of spinal cord injuries and highlight the main risk factors, prognosis and treatment.
