Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among women, requiring qualified and humanized care, especially in the context of palliative care. Objective: To analyze the role of nursing in the palliative care of hospitalized women with breast cancer. Methodology: This is a qualitative bibliographic review carried out in the databases BVS, SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar, using descriptors related to palliative care, oncology nursing, and breast cancer. Studies published within the last ten years were included, resulting in a final sample of 15 articles. Results: The studies showed that nurses play an important role in symptom management, comfort promotion, emotional support, welcoming care, and care coordination, contributing to the improvement of patients' quality of life. Challenges related to professional training, early integration of palliative care, and institutional limitations were also identified. Conclusion: It is concluded that nurses play a fundamental role in palliative care for women with breast cancer, promoting comprehensive, humanized, and patient-centered care.
