Lung cancer stands out as one of the most prevalent and lethal neoplasms in Brazil and worldwide, with its high mortality mainly associated with late diagnosis and the aggressiveness of the disease. In this scenario, nursing care plays an essential role in promoting comprehensive care, contributing to improved patient outcomes. Therefore, this study aimed to survey scientific publications on lung cancer, integrating its epidemiological aspects and nursing care. This was an integrative literature review conducted between January and March 2026, using the databases Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and the Google Scholar search tool, resulting in a total of 12 selected references. The results revealed two main thematic areas: “Epidemiological Analysis of Lung Cancer Cases” (3 scientific publications) and “Nursing Interventions Directed at Patients with Lung Cancer” (9 scientific publications). It is concluded that lung cancer remains a highly relevant epidemiological challenge, characterized by high incidence, significant mortality, persistent inequalities, and influenced by changes in tobacco consumption behavior. In this context, nursing care has become increasingly complex and indispensable, encompassing preventive actions, clinical follow-up, and palliative care. Thus, the integration of epidemiological data and nursing practices highlights that effective public policies and humanized care strategies, supported by scientific evidence, are fundamental to reducing impacts, addressing vulnerabilities, and promoting better health outcomes and patient well-being.
