The aesthetics and cosmetics market has experienced significant growth in recent years, driving the increasingly frequent use of dermocosmetics and aesthetic procedures. However, the indiscriminate use of these products may pose health risks, making the role of qualified professionals essential. In this context, aesthetic pharmacy emerges as a new perspective for pharmacists’ practice in cosmetology. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the importance of the pharmacist in aesthetic care, highlighting their contribution to guidance on the use of dermocosmetics and cosmeceuticals, as well as the performance of aesthetic procedures, aiming at patient safety and the promotion of well-being. The methodology used consists of a bibliographic review with a qualitative and descriptive approach, based on scientific articles and recent publications on aesthetic pharmacy, cosmetology, and pharmaceutical practice. The results show that pharmacists possess adequate technical and scientific training to work in the aesthetic field, as they have knowledge of skin, cosmetic active ingredients, formulations, pharmacology, toxicology, and biosafety. It is also observed that their professional practice contributes to the rational use of cosmetic products, prevention of adverse reactions, and individualized patient follow-up. It is concluded that aesthetic pharmacy broadens the pharmacist’s professional field, strengthens their recognition in the labor market, and contributes to safer, more ethical, qualified, and humanized aesthetic practices.
