This article analyzed the influence of family participation on the academic performance of children in the early years of Elementary Education, considering both the school and family environments. The research problem arose from the observation that the absence or limited participation of guardians may compromise students’ motivation, self-esteem, and academic achievement at this stage of basic education. The general objective of the study was to analyze how parental involvement impacts academic performance, as well as to understand the relationship between family participation, motivation to learn, and the development of self-esteem, in addition to identifying interaction strategies between school and family that support the teaching-learning process.
