This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in patients treated at the Regional Hospital of Gurupi, in southern Tocantins, between 2023 and 2025, with the objective of identifying the occurrence of the disease, associated factors, and hospital mortality related to COPD. The study evaluated secondary data obtained through official databases of the Brazilian Unified Health System, using a quantitative and descriptive approach, with analysis based on descriptive statistics and the development of graphs and tables for interpretation of the results. The findings demonstrated that COPD remained present throughout the analyzed period, with predominance of urgent care admissions, greater concentration of deaths among elderly patients, and similar distribution between sexes. In addition, it was observed that many patients arrive at the hospital in more advanced stages of the disease, which may be related to the absence of early diagnosis and continuous follow-up. Therefore, it is concluded that COPD continues to be a relevant condition in the studied hospital context, reinforcing the need for actions focused on prevention, early diagnosis, and multidisciplinary follow-up. In this context, physiotherapy stands out as an important part of patient care, contributing to the improvement of functional capacity, reduction of respiratory symptoms, and better quality of life.
