This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of hospitalizations for malignant neoplasm of the prostate in the Southern Region of Brazil between 2020 and 2025, through a quantitative, descriptive, and exploratory study using secondary data from the SIH/DATASUS. The analysis considered hospitalizations, deaths, average length of stay, age group, and color/race in the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. During the analyzed period, 33,350 hospitalizations and 3,560 deaths were recorded, with an overall hospital mortality rate of 10.67%. Paraná presented the highest absolute number of hospitalizations, Santa Catarina had the highest hospital mortality rate, and Rio Grande do Sul showed the longest average length of stay. A predominance of hospitalizations was observed in patients aged 60 years or older, as well as a higher frequency of self-reported white individuals. The findings highlight relevant epidemiological differences among the states of the Southern Region, reinforcing the importance of early detection, timely access to treatment, and the strengthening of prevention and oncological care strategies.
