Traffic education is a fundamental tool for prevention, citizenship training and promotion of road safety. In this context, this article analyzes the BPTran in Schools Project, developed by the Traffic Police Battalion of the Military Police of Paraná, with the aim of verifying its educational effectiveness, its potential for expansion throughout the state of Paraná and its relevance as a preventive public policy. The research is characterized as qualitative, descriptive and documentary, based on the updated institutional project and a spreadsheet of services carried out between 2023 and April 2026. The analysis demonstrates that the initiative has significant capacity for reach, operational continuity and regulatory adherence to article 76 of the Brazilian Traffic Code. The project stands out for combining theoretical and practical activities, playful language, and rapprochement between the police and the school community. The results indicate that the project brings together elements compatible with a public primary prevention policy, with potential for territorial expansion, articulation with preventive educational programs and strengthening traffic education at school level. It is concluded that the BPTran in Schools Project represents relevant institutional experience for the construction of a culture of peace in traffic and for the formation of more aware and responsible citizens.
