This article is based on the ideas of great researchers dealing with this theme, and aims to explore from the concept of affectivity to work in the classroom, leading to a reflection on the importance of the teaching profession in modernity, which leads to a affectivity for the development of the student in the cognitive and social area and, therefore, a basis for the school, community in ethical and moral development. In addition, this article also contains norms of the National Curriculum Plan (PCN) and of the Law of Guidelines and Bases (LDB) that must be followed and that affirm the obligation to work on affectivity.
