THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF MUSICAL EDUCATION TO TEACHING AND LEARNING IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how music education contributes to the teaching and learning process in early childhood education (pre-K I and pre-K II), expanding the possibilities of pedagogical practices in the school context and highlighting how music enhances the child's overall development. The methodology adopted was qualitative and descriptive, consisting of interviews with teachers designated P1 and P2 at a municipal school located in the rural area of ​​Amaraji-PE. This work is based on Bréscia (2003), Kramer (2002), and Nunes (2020). The results showed that the use of music education as a pedagogical tool can enrich educational practices in early childhood education, favoring the active participation of students and contributing to the construction of knowledge in a playful and meaningful way. Thus, it is concluded that music education has great relevance in the educational context, being an important strategy for the child's overall development and for strengthening learning.
