This article aims to present an analysis of the importance of physiotherapy in the quality of life of individuals with Alzheimer's disease, and to identify the importance of this therapy for this group of patients. Initially, we sought to conceptualize what Alzheimer's disease is, to understand how much this pathology is associated with the elderly population, understanding the entire aging process, and then discuss how physiotherapy can be beneficial in its role for the group of elderly people with Alzheimer's disease. Physiotherapy is fundamental for improving patients' body awareness, improving autonomy in activities of daily living, as well as improving mobility and interaction with the environment, factors that directly contribute to the quality of life of these individuals. It is highlighted that the application of exercises and activities focused on geriatrics are effective strategies to improve autonomy and promote greater well-being in patients with Alzheimer's, contributing to a decline in the progression of this disease.
