Carboxytherapy is a procedure involving the subcutaneous administration of carbon dioxide (CO2) using needles. CO2 is used in various conditions such as cellulite and wound healing, however, the pain caused by the application may limit treatment. This study is a cross-sectional, analytical, and observational study conducted with 28 women aged 18 to 45 who underwent carboxytherapy for the treatment of cellulite in the gluteal region. To assess pain intensity, the Visual Analog Scale (EVA) for pain was used. The results indicate that the mean pain intensity among patients undergoing carboxytherapy was 4.98, considered moderate.
