Abstract

This article aims to analyze the influence of international peasant struggles on the formation of the rights of freedom, equality and fraternity in the Brazilian Constitution of 1988. This study delves into the historical trajectory of peasant movements, emphasizing as discoveries the fundamental guarantees in Brazilian legislation. Investigating the connection between the struggle for land rights and the political participation of peasants, the article highlights the relevance of peasant struggles and agrarian reform policies in this process. Using fundamental rights theory and international comparative analysis, research based on contributions from authors such as Lenin, Kautsky, Engels, Shanin, Bobbio, Bonavides and others, provides a comprehensive view of the intersection between global social movements and national legislation.This study not only fills a gap in the existing literature, but also offers a unique perspective on how peasant struggles shaped crucial aspects of the 1988 Brazilian Constitution, highlighting the historical and global importance of the peasant struggle in the formation of constitutional rights.
