ANGIOTECHNIQUES AND CORROSION TECHNIQUE ASSOCIATED WITH ANATOMICAL DISSECTION IN ANATOMY TEACHING: AN EXPERIENCE REPORT USING A SWINE MODEL

Human anatomy is a fundamental pillar in health education, being essential for understanding the structural and functional relationships of the organism. However, its teaching faces challenges such as reduced course hours, limited availability of cadaveric material, and the high cost of synthetic models. In this context, techniques that enhance three-dimensional visualization of structures become relevant to the teaching-learning process. This study aimed to report the experience of the integrated use of anatomical dissection associated with angiotechniques and the corrosion technique in a swine model, highlighting its contribution to the understanding of vascular organization. The activities were conducted in a 40-hour course, involving organ dissection and vascular filling with vinylite and latex, followed by corrosion to obtain vascular casts. The results enabled detailed visualization of the vascular arborization of organs such as kidneys and heart, enhancing spatial understanding. Active participation in the procedures contributed to the development of technical skills, critical thinking, and integration between theory and practice. It is concluded that this approach represents an effective pedagogical strategy for teaching anatomy, promoting active and meaningful learning.
