Society is undergoing a technological transformation that is present in all social spaces, impacting how we work, learn, and interact within our social environment. The general objective was to analyze the challenges and opportunities in the applicability of digital technologies in the literacy process. Specific objectives: 1) to identify the challenges faced by teachers in the applicability of educational technologies; 2) to analyze the opportunities of digital technologies in the literacy process. The methodology used was a systematic literature review, conducted in March 2026 on reliable digital platforms, encompassing works published over a 10-year period. The results showed that there are challenges such as teacher training, public policies, and physical infrastructure; regarding the possibilities, one can cite increased student autonomy, new ways of learning, exploring new content, and the enh ancement of pedagogical practices. In conclusion, the use of digital technologies in the educational context still faces significant challenges and, on the other hand, offers opportunities for improvements in teaching and learning when guided by professionals.
