Abstract

This study addresses planned gamification supported by artificial intelligence in mathematics education, considering this articulation as an innovative strategy to enhance students’ learning. The topic is relevant in light of the challenges historically associated with the teaching of Mathematics, which is often marked by difficulties in understanding, lack of motivation, and low student participation. In this context, the study is based on the understanding that the integration of gamification and artificial intelligence can foster more dynamic, interactive, and meaningful pedagogical practices, aligned with contemporary educational demands. The general objective of the research was to analyze how planned gamification supported by artificial intelligence can contribute to the innovation of pedagogical practices in mathematics education, enhancing learning, engagement, and the development of students’ skills. The justification for the study lies in the need to reflect on innovative methodologies that can respond to the difficulties present in the teaching of Mathematics, making the learning process more attractive, participatory, and effective. Regarding the methodology, the research was developed through a literature review, based on the analysis of scientific productions related to gamification, artificial intelligence, innovative methodologies, and mathematics education. This methodological choice made it possible to gather relevant theoretical contributions for understanding the theme, allowing the identification of possibilities, challenges, and impacts of using these strategies in the educational context. It is concluded that planned gamification supported by artificial intelligence has great potential to enrich the teaching of Mathematics, promoting greater student engagement, personalization of learning, and strengthening of pedagogical practices. Thus, the study highlights the importance of investing in innovative and intentionally planned approaches capable of making mathematical learning more meaningful and connected to current reality.
