This article sought to discuss, in light of the scientific literature, the repercussions of the diagnosis of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder within the family context. The methodological approach adopted was a bibliographic review, whose selected body of literature consists of works produced and published between 2020 and 2025, in accordance with legal and normative frameworks related to the field of study of this disorder. Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is understood as a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by behavioral manifestations that emerge out of sync with the stage of maturation expected for the individual, which may consequently generate significant challenges in everyday family life. The analysis of the selected material revealed that the impacts of ADHD tend to overload family dynamics, particularly affecting primary caregivers, with implications that reverberate across multiple dimensions, such as psychoemotional, financial, and social aspects. These impacts often manifest in conditions such as stress, physical exhaustion, among other difficulties, which, in the absence of appropriate interventions to mitigate them, may further aggravate the situation, resulting in more severe harm to the integrity of the family unit.
