Abstract

Throughout the existence of humanity, transformations have always occurred, however, scientific and technological advances have had a major influence on people's lives. The current generation, like the others that preceded this one, and which were inserted in the virtual world, are those that need changes in the educational environment, so that the teaching and learning process of students from these generations is meaningful. A brief understanding is first made of the concept of generation, which is defined as a certain group with specific characteristics in isolation in a historical period. After understanding the concept of generation, we will address what the alpha generation is like, which would be our current generation, in which we conceptualize how a generation is made up of hyperconnected people. One of the prerogatives that arises through understanding the profile of students who are part of the current generation behind us, is knowing the appropriate way to insert technologies into the educational environment, because current generation students are connected all the time, have virtual interactions, but does not know how to take advantage of virtual tools for his teaching process. For the purposes of knowledge and improvements in the teaching and learning process of new generation students, this work is of great relevance. The present work aims to understand how the current generation and its direction regarding the attention it gives to virtual information that does not generate beneficial learning. This work can be classified as a bibliographical research, as it reads using scientific articles as a basis.
