The specific objectives are: to present a brief history of the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela; to analyze the work of Operation Welcome; and to investigate the difficulties encountered by Venezuelan refugees in integrating into Brazilian society. The methodology used was a bibliographic review of articles, doctrines, and related publications dealing with Venezuelan refugees and Operation Welcome, using a descriptive, explanatory, and quantitative research approach. It was possible to conclude that: a) The political, economic, and social crisis in Venezuela has led thousands of Venezuelans to seek refuge in Brazil to escape human rights violations; b) The work carried out by Operation Welcome has made an enormous contribution to welcoming Venezuelan refugees to our country, having resettled thousands of Venezuelans, enabling them to start a new life in Brazil; c) There are still many challenges to be overcome for the integration of Venezuelan refugees in Brazil, such as prejudice, xenophobia, lack of knowledge of the Portuguese language, access to Brazilian public services, among others.
