THE USE OF THE INSTAGRAM PLATFORM AS A TOOL FOR PUBLICIZING THE WORK OF THE AMAZONAS MILITARY POLICE

This article analyzes the use of the social network Instagram as a strategic tool for institutional communication by the Military Police of Amazonas (PMAM). The study investigates how the digital platform contributes to bringing the corporation closer to society, disseminating operational actions and social projects. The methodology adopted comprises bibliographic and documentary research, with a qualitative approach, analyzing the guidelines of the Social Communication Directorate (DCS) and public engagement. The results indicate that Instagram is fundamental for demystifying police activity and for public transparency, although a more rigid normative standardization is necessary to mitigate risks to the institutional image.
