This article examines the legal, administrative, and institutional feasibility of hiring temporary military police exclusively for support activities by the Military Police of Amazonas, in light of Federal Law nº 14.751/2023 (National Organic Law of Military Police)and State Law nº 5.147/2020 (which regulates the call-up of military personnel on paid leave). The research combines documentary analysis, literature review, and comparative analysis of analogous programs implemented in Brazil, demonstrating that the model is constitutionally viable when subject to specific requirements: strict functional restriction to support activities, isolation from permanent career paths, maximum term defined by state law, appropriate legal regime, and robust external control mechanisms. Safe implementation of this model would contribute to the modernization of Amazonian public security, freeing career personnel for public policing, attracting specialized professionals, and optimizing budgetary resources in a context of fiscal adjustment.
