This study is a qualitative bibliographic research and aims to analyze what has been addressed on the theme of "Scientific Literacy (SL)" in theses and dissertations published by Postgraduate Programs in various areas, at the master's and doctoral levels, within the Amazon region. University repositories located in the Legal Amazon region were consulted, gathering 20 published works and 2 ongoing research projects. Data analysis was guided by Bardin's (2011) content analysis, finding works in the following categories: Didactic Sequences, Non-Formal Spaces, Thematic Didactic Proposals, and Use of Media/Technology. The categories span different levels of education and various curricular components, articulating with the STS and STSE (Science, Technology, Society, and Environment) approaches, and are supported by the main authors researching Cultural Action. While Cultural Action has great potential for changing the educational landscape in the Amazon, the lack of discussion of these themes, dissemination, and development of methods to promote it is still scarce. Thus, the incidence of research on this topic is still incipient and requires a more sensitive approach.
