The integration of digital technologies into the school environment has transformed pedagogical practices, expanding teaching and learning possibilities. However, its implementation presents daily challenges, such as the lack of adequate infrastructure, resistance from teachers and students, in addition to the need for a balance between the use of technology and traditional teaching methods. This study aims to analyze the main difficulties faced by teachers when using technologies in the classroom, as well as reflecting on the limits of this use to guarantee meaningful learning. To achieve this, a qualitative approach was adopted, based on a bibliographical review and analysis of experiences reported by elementary and secondary school teachers. The results indicate that, despite the benefits provided by educational technologies, their excessive or unplanned use can compromise students' attention and hinder teacher-student interaction. It is concluded, therefore, that technology must be used in a balanced way, as a complementary tool to traditional teaching, requiring teacher training and educational policies that guarantee its efficient application.
