Educational trends in the 21st century reflect the rapid and significant changes that society faces due to the digital revolution and technological innovations. Education is no longer seen simply as the transmission of knowledge, but as a dynamic process that aims to develop critical, social and emotional skills in students. In this context, the role of the teacher becomes even more complex and multifaceted, requiring new skills and pedagogical approaches. This work aims to analyze the main educational trends of the 21st century and discuss the transformative role of the teacher in this new scenario. The aim is to understand how teacher training and pedagogical practice can be reconfigured to meet the demands of contemporary education, which prioritizes the student's comprehensive training and the use of educational technologies. The research is bibliographic in nature, with a literature review that covers books, academic articles and relevant publications in the area of education. It was concluded that the educational trends of the 21st century demand a reevaluation of the role of the teacher, who must act as a mediator of knowledge, a facilitator of learning and a guide in the construction of socio-emotional skills. The integration of technologies in teaching should be seen as a tool at the service of education, promoting a more collaborative and dynamic environment.
