Abstract

The school routine is marked by complex dynamics that often result in disorganization and vandalism, damaging the learning environment. This study investigates strategies to strengthen conflict mediation in the school context, with an emphasis on active methodologies, especially Project-Based Learning (PBL). The Minha Sala, Minha Cara project is presented as a practical approach to solving issues of disorganization and vandalism, promoting not only the improvement of school coexistence, but also the strengthening of good organizational and public economic practices. The research, carried out at the Luiz Alves da Silva High School Reference School, in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Pernambuco, involved 31 participants, including students, teachers and staff. A qualitative approach, with semi-structured interviews and quantitative data on conflict occurrences, was used to examine the effectiveness of the interventions. Expected results include an 80% reduction in conflict incidents and the promotion of a more harmonious school environment, where students feel valued and motivated to take care of their learning space. In conclusion, the research on the Minha Sala, Minha Cara project demonstrated its effectiveness in reducing conflicts and creating a more organized school environment.
