Human migration has been an integral part of history, driven by political, social, cultural, and economic factors. In the Latin American context, Venezuelan migration to Brazil has significantly transformed social organization and the educational landscape. This article discusses the right to education for migrant students under Brazilian law and analyzes the challenges faced by schools, including language barriers, lack of teacher training, discriminatory practices, and curricular adaptation. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of public policies and welcoming programs, such as the Migrant Welcoming Program (PAM) in Santa Catarina, as strategies to ensure school access and retention. The study concludes that human rights education, empathy, and effective welcoming practices are essential for a democratic, inclusive education that values diversity and promotes citizenship in a multicultural society.
