The present work aims to treat the theme of human dignity as a fundamental precept in the Constitution, which imposes a behavior and respect for the norms that structure the State of Law, this is intended to demonstrate that the effectiveness of this principle puts man as end, so central the figure of protection of the state. The state has limits imposed by the principle of human dignity, this barrier is characterized as a fundamental principle, which makes this legal system expression of a culture and values of a democratic society. For this, the methodology implemented was the bibliographic review, with content analysis and academic studies.
