Abstract

After careful reflection on the Brazilian educational process, it was observed that it has been showing some signs of weakening. The lack of contributions to its strengthening is evident. Theories and practices seem divorced, somewhat hindering their consolidation. Educational theoretical excellence is meaningless when its assumptions diverge from practice. It is up to the Union, the federative entities, and the school community to fulfill their mandates. Qualifying such an arduous process requires great effort and endless commitment. Not just any type of education provides opportunities for upward social transformation; only qualitative education can offer the necessary and capable elements to effect it. Theories of a process are only well-founded when their practices are implemented. However, treating education simply with evasive discourse is nothing more than a true utopia. Either we faithfully follow the guidelines expressed in educational laws, or we will continue with a visibly worn-out educational process.
