The Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) guides Basic Education nationwide and has been examined regarding its potential to promote inclusion, antiracism, and decolonial perspectives. This qualitative and bibliographic study analyzes how the BNCC engages with equity-oriented policies and addresses the needs of historically marginalized students. Although the document advances by acknowledging diversity and proposing holistic student development, it still presents significant limitations in confronting structural racism and colonial epistemologies. It is concluded that a critical and contextualized interpretation of the BNCC (National Common Core Curriculum) is fundamental for educators to be able to redefine their practices and promote a truly inclusive and emancipatory education. To this end, it is essential that schools, administrators, and teachers adopt a stance committed to social transformation, recognizing the power of anti-racist and decolonial perspectives in building more just and equitable educational spaces.
