This article addresses the formation of the Military Police of Amazonas (PMAM), focusing on the process of constructing military identity and the training methods employed. The field of public security, especially the training of its leaders, is complex, and the development of the officer's identity is fundamental to their professional trajectory. Military pedagogy is central to this process, being defined as the science and philosophy of educational praxis grounded in militarism that aims at the psychophysical, ethical, and moral conformation of individuals. Furthermore, training aims to forge a standard profile, which values psychosomatic conformation and the internalization of normative-legal values, police discourse, and esprit de corps. Finally, the assimilation of military values is demonstrated from the perspective of rites of passage and alignment with the PMAM's military organizational culture in the pursuit of an officer profile that adapts to the military system.
