This article analyzes the incorporation of scientific production into the organizational structure of Military Police forces, focusing on the recent experience of the Military Police of Pará (PMPA). The study adopts a qualitative approach, based on a bibliographic review and the analysis of legal and institutional documents. The results indicate that, for a long period, police activity was primarily centered on operational practice, with limited appreciation of scientific knowledge. However, an institutional transformation process can be observed within the PMPA, marked by the establishment of regulations, the standardization of procedures, the creation of internal research-oriented structures, and partnerships with universities. The importance of this study lies in demonstrating that the institutionalization of scientific production contributes to professional qualification, improved organizational management, and the strengthening of public security.
