Laser therapy is a non-invasive therapeutic technique that uses low-intensity light as an auxiliary resource in clinical treatments, with relevant applications in pain reduction, inflammation control, and stimulation of tissue healing. When laser light interacts with tissues, it promotes cellular responses that favor regeneration and repair, establishing itself as a painless and easily applicable therapeutic alternative. In this context, the biomedical professionais plays an essential role in establishing clinical protocols, defining adequate parameters, and monitoring therapeutic progress, ensuring quality and safety in the procedure. The central objective is to present the benefits and indications of laser therapy in biomedical practice as a safe and effective adjuvant treatment for improving patient health and quality of life. The methodology was based on exploratory research with a qualitative approach, using a bibliographic research procedure. Research demonstrates that the results with laser therapy have been widely used in various areas of medicine and in wound treatment. These therapies are non-invasive and reduce the need for analgesic or anti-inflammatory medications. It is concluded that laser therapy represents an important resource in biomedical practice, contributing to the improvement of patient health and quality of life.
