Abstract

This article presents a study that aimed to highlight the main difficulties experienced in the teaching-learning process during the emergency remote classes resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, as well as the relationship between public education policies aimed at minimizing the gaps observed in the post-pandemic period in the state of Santa Catarina. To this end, data was collected through a questionnaire administered to two teachers who worked in two areas of education in the Santa Catarina State Public School System during that period, namely the classroom and the technical-pedagogical team of a state public school. The theoretical basis for this study was the book “Challenges of Education in Times of Pandemic” organized by the State Department of Education, as well as articles and websites related to the subject. The results obtained point (mainly) to aspects related to the lack of appropriate technological equipment, restricted access to internet networks, and the lack of specific skills necessary for the adequate, functional, and effective use of these means to adapt to the new pedagogical practice.
