BRAZILIAN GRAPHITE ON THE PATH TO THE FUTURE: AN ANALYSIS OF EXPORTS IN 2024

Abstract

This article summarizes the international trade landscape for graphite. Our goal is to map the export journey of this strategic mineral from Brazil, exploring its potential and the challenges it faces along the way. We justify this investigation by the growing importance of graphite, which has ceased to be a simple industrial component and has become a key piece in the clean energy and digital technology revolution. We conclude that Brazil, with one of the largest global reserves, has the potential not only to export a raw material but also to integrate itself in an essential way into the production chains of the future.
