This narrative review analyzes the importance of the integrated role of dentists in the management of natal and neonatal teeth. Although uncommon, these conditions can affect breastfeeding, cause oral trauma, and increase the risk of aspiration, highlighting the need for early diagnosis and appropriate clinical interventions. The literature indicates that most of these teeth belong to the normal primary dentition but present structural anomalies that contribute to increased mobility. Integrated care involving dentistry, pediatrics, nursing, and speech therapy is essential to ensure safe and effective neonatal management. Brazilian health guidelines emphasize the inclusion of oral health in perinatal care. It is concluded that the active participation of dentists during prenatal and neonatal care is crucial to preventing complications and promoting comprehensive child health.
