This article aims to analyzes the influence of the United States on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and its economic repercussions in Brazil between 2021 and 2023. Using a mixed-methods approach, it combines quantitative analysis of exchange rates, fuel prices, and inflation indexes with qualitative review of theoretical and documentary sources. The results show that the war and U.S.-imposed sanctions on Russia caused strong global economic instability, reflected in Brazil through the rise of the U.S. dollar, increased fuel prices, and higher agricultural production costs, particularly due to reduced fertilizer imports. These effects led to inflationary pressure and greater social inequality. Although the Brazilian government implemented measures such as reducing the ICMS tax and adjusting Petrobras’ pricing policy, the results were limited. The study concludes that the conflict exposed Brazil’s vulnerability to external shocks and highlighted the need for policies aimed at strengthening productive autonomy, diversifying trade partnerships, and increasing national resilience in the face of geopolitical crises.
