THE IMPORTANCE OF FINANCIAL EDUCATION FOR THE PERSONAL PLANNING OF ADMINISTRATION STUDENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GURUPI – UNIRG IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GURUPI-TO

Abstract

This article, derived from a Final Course Project, investigates the importance of Financial Education for the personal financial planning of Administration students at the University of Gurupi – UnirG, in the municipality of Gurupi, Tocantins.. The increasing economic complexity and easy access to credit make financial education essential for university students to make conscious decisions and avoid indebtedness. Although students study organizational financial management, many do not apply this knowledge to their personal finances. The study, with a quantitative and descriptive approach, will use a structured questionnaire to assess students’ financial knowledge, consumption habits, and personal planning practices. It is expected to identify learning gaps and inadequate behaviors, reinforcing the need for educational actions to train financially aware professionals.
