This article investigates the influence of legal strategies adopted in the negotiations of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and their impact on the resolution of international trade conflicts. Through qualitative bibliographical research, we analyzed the different negotiation tactics, the importance of legal mechanisms for resolving disputes and the influence of States' international policies. The results indicate that strategies that prioritize transparency, the creation of robust mechanisms and accessibility are decisive for the effectiveness of FTAs, promoting a stable and predictable commercial environment, especially given the growing participation of emerging countries. The continuous need to adapt these strategies to ensure fairer and more efficient international trade is highlighted.
