Introduction: Medication administration represents one of the most delicate and highly responsible activities in nursing practice, especially in the pediatric context. This research aims: To describe the main strategies used by nurses for the safe administration of medications in pediatrics. Materials and Methods: This is a qualitative, descriptive study based on a review of scientific literature. Data were obtained through the platforms Google Scholar, SciELO, Virtual Health Library (VHL), World Health Organization (WHO) and Federal Nursing Council (COFEN). Results: From the ten selected studies, it was possible to demonstrate that safety in pediatric medication administration depends on structured practices such as protocols, effective communication and continuous training. The authors identified challenges such as interruptions, work overload and low adherence to safety barriers. Strategies such as checklists and shift handover showed greater potential to reduce errors and strengthen patient safety. Final Considerations: Safety in pediatric medication administration depends on the specificities of child care and the responsibilities of the nursing team. Despite strategies and resources that promote safe practice, low adherence to essential measures remains an important challenge.
