Introduction: Cerebral aneurysm consists of an abnormal dilation of the intracranial arterial wall, a condition that carries a high risk of rupture and the potential for severe neurological complications. In the intraoperative setting, the nurse’s role is central in preventing and managing complications, contributing to the maintenance of hemodynamic stability and patient safety. Objective: To analyze the role of the nurse in preventing and managing complications in patients with cerebral aneurysm during the intraoperative period. Materials and Methods: An integrative literature review with a qualitative and descriptive approach was conducted using the SciELO, LILACS, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases, covering publications from 2020 to 2024. The final sample consisted of four studies that discussed nursing interventions, safety protocols, and humanized practices within the surgical context. Results: The findings indicate that preventive and humanized nursing actions contribute to reducing complications, promote neurological recovery, and enhance the quality of care. It was also identified that the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE) and continuing education play a strategic role in standardizing conduct and supporting professional development. Conclusion: The nurse’s performance in the intraoperative care of patients with cerebral aneurysm is essential for ensuring safety and quality of care, integrating technical-scientific knowledge and humanization principles as structuring pillars of practice.
