Female sexual dysfunctions, characterized by alterations in desire, arousal, orgasm, and the presence of pain, significantly impact women’s quality of life. Urogynecological physiotherapy has emerged as a conservative, evidence-based approach aimed at restoring pelvic floor function and improving sexual response. This study aimed to analyze its role in the treatment of female sexual dysfunctions through a descriptive and qualitative literature review with an eight-year time frame. Searches were conducted in the SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases, resulting in the selection of 14 articles. The findings indicate that techniques such as pelvic floor muscle training, kinesiotherapy, vaginal cones, electrostimulation, biofeedback, and manual therapy improve muscle function, body awareness, lubrication, and reduce pain, contributing to sexual health. It is concluded that urogynecological physiotherapy is effective and safe, although more robust studies are needed to strengthen scientific evidence.
