RELEVANCE OF THE NURSING PROFESSIONAL FOR THE TREATMENT OF GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME

Introduction: Glioblastoma is the most common primary malignant brain tumor, originating in brain tissue. It is characterized by its involvement in the central nervous system and developing in the spinal cord or brain, with invasive growth. Symptoms of this pathology depend on its location, but the main symptoms include headaches, loss of appetite, mood swings, nausea, vomiting, and others. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relevance of nursing care for patients with glioblastoma multiforme. Methodology: This is a bibliographic review with a descriptive and exploratory approach, using articles published between 2015 and 2025. Results: The results showed that nursing plays an essential role in the care of patients with glioblastoma multiforme, contributing to both diagnosis and treatment. It is essential that the nursing team be trained and dedicated to providing personalized and humane care to patients and their families.
